Adaptable Kitchens: Mobile Islands

At Mulberry Kitchens, we pride ourselves on our ability to cater to our clients' unique needs and preferences. Our latest project in East Yorkshire, completed for Mr. and Mrs. B, is a shining example of our commitment to flexibility and innovative design solutions. With a keen eye for detail and the ability to think outside the box, we were able to create a stunning kitchen that not only met, but exceeded our clients' expectations.

When it came to designing a kitchen for Mr. and Mrs. B, we knew that their primary wish was to have an island. However, due to space constraints in their kitchen, a fixed island was not feasible. Not to be deterred, our design team put their heads together and came up with a clever solution: a mobile island on wheels that could be easily moved when not needed. This innovative concept allowed us to create the functionality of an island without sacrificing space, and the clients were thrilled with the result. The mobile island quickly became a versatile addition to their kitchen, serving as a convenient extension for their dining table when entertaining guests.

The kitchen design we created for Mr. and Mrs. B is a testament to our commitment to flexibility and our ability to cater to our clients' specific needs. By embracing the challenge of designing a mobile island, we were able to provide our clients with the desired functionality in a way that worked seamlessly with the rest of their new kitchen.

The final design featured slim shaker doors painted in indigo blue, which were beautifully complemented by Egger oak effect worktops. The wall unit doors and dresser were finished in a light porcelain colour, creating a feeling of spaciousness in the room. All appliances, including a full height fridge, full height freezer, double oven, wine cooler, dishwasher, induction hob, and the innovative 'creative' extractor, were supplied by Neff. The full height oak effect wine rack perfectly matched the worktop, adding a touch of sophistication to the overall design.

Our team of skilled professionals took care of every aspect of the project, from installing ceiling lights and plastering to wall tiling. The existing flooring was a perfect match for the new colour scheme, adding the final touch to this stunning kitchen.
