Our client was an avid baker in need of more space and work surface. Perhaps a nice island would increase the working area and also create a more sociable experience whilst preparing meals for family and friends. Sadly, the existing kitchen was not big enough and couldn’t be stretched!....... There was only one logical answer - A NEW KITCHEN!

We are delighted to report that a visit to Mulberry started the ball rolling towards culinary utopia.

Thankfully, our client showed an open mind to a rather radical design and welcomed the idea of removing the internal wall separating the kitchen and dining room. This granted the space to allow a large island whilst accommodating a layout that would fulfil everything on the wish list.

Normally, it can be pretty near impossible to imagine what your new kitchen could look like after major restructuring work such as the removal of a wall. This is where Mulberry comes into its own with the use of 360 degree “Virtual Reality” to present our designs.

When our client could visualise that island, big enough for any baking endeavour and complete with a seating area for 4 people, the deal was done and start date set.

Our builders lowered the ceiling to hide the steel supporting beams but this also allowed the flush installation of a remote controlled Neff ceiling extractor and lots of LED downlights.

The high gloss handleless “Light Grey” doors paired with the “Bianco Rivers” Silestone Quartz worktops provides this kitchen with a clean modern look enhanced by the integrated appliances hidden behind doors.

Our client’s finishing touches, particularly her beautiful homemade curtains and blinds (made using a fabric with a touch of yellow) completes a very elegant but functional room.
